Jackie Speight, Mum, Inspirational Entrepeneur.
Jackie’s company helps sole traders, small businesses and anyone else in need of secretarial and business support.
So what sets her apart?
Imagine, you have a 20 year successful career, you wake up one day and say, this is just not enough!
The 48-year-old, of South Shore, took on the challenge of running her own business last year so she could be at home for her sons Andrew, aged nine and David, seven.
One seriously risky decision to most people. Add a family late in life(obviously a man writing this before you scream, what!!!), and then add the unknown, and you say “go girl,”
I had the privilege of being their at the start, and have taken immense pride in her progress.
Jackie is a GIVER, not a taker. Always willing to pass on good news, enticing tips to businesses, never slow in taking one step forward
She is up for awards at the EVA awards being organised by Pink Link, Firstly in the Flying Solo category of the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs), as well as being nominated in four categories, for The Mumpreneur Awards 2012, a national award scheme for mums who run their own enterprise.
As well as being nominated in the Best Online Business, Best Supporting Business and Best Interactive Business categories, she is also in with a chance of winning The Inspirational Business Mum Award, which will be awarded to the mother who proves to be an inspiration to all women in business.
Not bad eh?
She is an avid LinkedIn, Facebook, twitter and blogger.
If you do one thing tonight, vote for this inspirational lady, and I do mean lady!
